Relying on the surgical expertise of the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, the Department of Paediatric Surgery follows the same medical standards, diagnosis and treatment protocols and consistent, unified management as the Fudan main hospital. It is a key comprehensive paediatric surgical centre at Shanghai StarKids Children's Hospital, integrating diagnosis, surgery and rehabilitation.

The department brings together Shanghai's leading paediatric surgical resources — with specialists from the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, Xinhua Hospital (Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine), the Shanghai Children's Hospital and Renji Hospital regularly consulting and operating. With a well-structured talent team (4 chief physicians, 11 associate chief physicians and 3 resident physicians), it provides:

Our Specialists
The team is led by Executive Director of Paediatric Surgery Liu Qiang (MD, associate chief physician) and includes Chief Physician Dong Chenbin (MD, plastic surgery), Associate Chief Physician Zhou Zhihong (surgery), and dedicated paediatric surgeons Zhuang Yujia, Yuan Zhenxiang, Zhang Yu and Xie Lulu.
